Ingathering for Afghan Refugees at Fort McCoy

The Wisconsin Annual Conference is hosting an ingathering of clothing and blankets for the Afghan refugees currently housed at Fort McCoy. Supplies can be dropped off from Monday, September 13 to Friday, September 24 at First UMC.

Items Requested for Refugees:

The following items need to be new items in packages

Sizes Small to XL (mostly med/large)

Long sleeve, crew neck tops - (T-shirts/sweatshirts) Solid colors, fun colors okay, unbranded, male and female

Pants - Long pants, unbranded, male and female

Socks - Male and female, kids socks can be fun colors

Cotton Shoes - Flip flops and sandals (great need), all sizes, closed toed shoes

Underwear - Cotton only, all sizes (great need for men’s sizes)

Additional items needed:

Fall jackets, gently used, laundered (all sizes)

Blankets/ Quilts, gently used, laundered

Duffle bags/ laundry bags

Please do not donate winter clothing!
